Hiking Timp!

A couple weeks ago my brother Doug and his daughter Sam were in town from Ohio. We tried to get together a few times while they were here. It was so good to see them! We missed Barb though. Hopefully she will be able to come next time. :-)

Anyway, Eric, Chad (my little sister's husband), Clarke (my older sister's husband), Doug, and Sam hiked Timp! They got some great shots! Eric put together this cool video to capture some of the highlights for our blog!

Enjoy!

It's Haircut Time!!!

Cade was starting to look like Shaggy, and it was itching his ears and neck a lot. You could tell it bothered him. He hates getting his haircut, so we have been putting it off. We finally just broke down and Eric cut it tonight. I think he could finally tell, "wow, that feels so much better."

WOW, what a cutie patootie!!! (He was so traumatized by the whole event there was no way I could get the binky away just to take the picture. Ha Ha)

2nd - First Day of School!

Well, we made it back down to Moroni, so Monday morning all the kids started school....again.

They were not nervous at all, and all of them seemed really excited. I did have more pictures, but somehow in my upload attempts, I lost all of them but this one. I also had some of them starting at Mt. Mahogany too, but alas those are gone as well.

Kind of a boring photo, but at least they are all smiling and happy.
Preston started 4th grade, Jaida 2nd, and Alyssa is in Kindergarten.

WOW.....The ride isn't over yet!

Well, as of last night at about 10:00 p.m. we officially put our house under contract once more.

We had moved up to my parents for a week to at least start the kids in school. As it turns out, they will start next week back in Moroni.

Eric has been in Georgia for a week, so all these wonderful decisions have been left up to me. We aren't getting what we would have hoped out of our house, but at least now we may be able to move on. So we're really praying this one sticks!!!!

The woman purchasing it, is a single mom of a 2 1/2 yr. old boy. She walked in and "felt it". She said she immediately knew that this is where she wanted to live and raise her son. When my realtor told me that it gave me chills. Being a single mom, she didn't have too many options, but we made it work. I really hope she will be happy here. She seems very excited.

Eric was supposed to come home today, but is being delayed because of the tropical storm down in Florida. We are planning on going back to Moroni and starting the kids there next week. They started Wednesday in Moroni, so they will have only missed a couple days.

We can't close for a month because of the type of loan this woman is getting, so we will have to try to come up with another house payment as well as rent payment for September. That is the most disappointing part. Needless to say though we definately need the closure.

The kids took it hard at first, but I think they're okay now. They too need closure, and we have talked about so many houses lately they never know which one we mean. We hope this will make things much easier on EVERYONE! Ha Ha

Anyway, we'll keep everyone posted. Back to Moroni we go. We have contacted our landlords, and they are happy to let us stay there. So far so good! :-)

Our Little Curtain Climber

As I am packing boxes daily, my kids are running out of things to play with. (I did this on purpose, as to not have to continue cleaning up their things!) Anyway, they have had to get creative.

The older kids can go outside, and draw, color, etc. but Cade just continues to explore things all over the house. He seems to have discovered that curtain climbing is one of the most fun things to do. The lovely gold floor length box curtains are the perfect hiding place. Who would have thought. I think he is the only one living here who has ever liked the curtains. :-)

I guess a move is on the horizon!

It looks like we are moving back, so all you P.G.-ites get ready. Everyone there has been so amazing and supportive through all this! I keep in touch with many of you, and visit often so I almost feel as if I never left anyway. You already have all been so nice and welcoming, and I really had a hard time leaving in the first place. Now I have had a hard time accepting the fact that we are moving back too.

What an emotional roller coaster. I seriously doubt there are any tears left in my body, and my knees are worn out from spending so much time on them. :-)

I know it will all be fine, but this whole year has been such a nightmare. It is now obvious to me that we are supposed to be back there for whatever reason, so I will be packing and trying to get the kids in school. (They start Monday). Eric leaves Saturday for Georgia with the military, so it should be a fun few weeks. :-)

Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. It really means a lot!
