Happy Birthday Preston!

Here is my first little guy! Born 11 years ago. He was such a snuggle bunny. Very long, and a hairy back. LOL
Loved to sleep on his tummy!!!!!

He was a Blue's Clues fan when he was little. This is from his 1 yr. birthday party!!

Crawling in the grass. So cute!

Hanging out in Moab!

Enjoying the snow at Grandma Saul's.

Being goofy!

Fall School Picture 2009. Such a handsome guy, even with his "road rash".

WE LOVE YOU PRESTON!!! Happy Birthday!!!

Lucky Month

March has been a busy, yet good month for our least so far!

Usborne came back from a short hiatus in full force, so my days have been filled with books, booths, meeting new people, and parties! Don't get me wrong....I LOVE IT!

We also were able to pay off some debt with our tax return and get qualified to buy a home. We found one quickly that we just loved, so we moved on it. We are now waiting to close, and become homeowners once again!!

Once moved and settled, I will post details with pictures, but needless to say we are excited!!

We also have a couple birthdays this month. Alyssa's was on the 1st, and we will be celebrating Preston's on the 28th. My kids are growing up so fast!

Last night we went with Preston to his final Cub Scout pack night. After Sunday he officially moves to the 11 yr. old scout group. WOW, before I know it he will be leaving on a mission. I am not sure what I think about that. LOL

Now it's time to gear up for April with our Anniversary, 2 more birthdays, Easter, Usborne, closing, cleaning, packing, beginning to move, etc.

We are more than ready though. This time it will be FUN!

We got it!!!!!!!

Just a follow up to say that we got the house! We put in an offer on Wednesday, and got word yesterday that they accepted. We are now officially under contract and set to close on April 26th!!

More details to come later. :-)

Is there such a thing as the "perfect house"? We don't know that for sure, but amazingly enough we think we found one! Is it really possible that we could have 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (with another to be finished later), a huge yard with vinyl fencing, a double garage, and an additional single separate garage???? The house only being built in 2004 in a great neighborhood?

It has all the features we love, and we are looking at a really great price if all goes well. Trying to keep it from going to a short sale is kind of tricky, so we are waiting on the exact payoff from the bank. We will see how close it is to a payment we are comfortable with and if we can really do it!

Of course there have been a few bumps in the road (on the seller's side). That wouldn't be our life if everything went perfectly smooth all the time. We are trying to be patient and leave it in the Lord's hands. If it is meant to be......

It would cut Eric's commute in half, and not be too far from the "city". We went back a second time and saw it again last night. We thought if we went one more time while we were waiting to put in an offer it would confirm that yes, we still feel good about it, or maybe it isn't as cool as we thought the first time.

But, now we loved it MORE! Fancier counter tops that we didn't realize were in there, a jetted tub in the Master Bath (which by the way we have never had a master bath so that in itself is exciting). We also discovered a HUGE pantry that we didn't notice before, and a little nook in one of the bedrooms making it a much larger room.

Wow, we are trying so hard to be patient, and praying that everything works out! Hopefully we will be submitting an offer this week, and keeping it from going to a short sale. Most if not all of our paperwork is done on our end, so we shouldn't have to wait too long to close. We will try however to push closing out a tad if needed just so we don't overlap in payments. We have this rental until the end of May, so we don't want our new house payment to start until June!

Please pray for us and wish us luck!!!

The House Hunting has Begun!!!

Last week I was able to go meet with a lender, and get us pre-qualified to now once again purchase a home! We are so excited!!! Still a little nervous, as we just want to find something that we can truly call home! We are looking mostly in southern Utah county, so we shall see.
We are trying to time it just right to get in on that last tax credit! We did own a home for 5 of the last 8 years, so if we can time it just right, the $6500 tax credit would definately come in handy next year!!!
Our lease in this rental is up at the end of May, so if things go well, it should work perfectly.
Wish us luck!

Dad & Kids Night!

The kids brought home free tickets from school to go to the Utah Flash game at UVU. Eric took them, and they had a really fun night with dad!
All of them look mad, but I promise they really did have fun!

The mascot!

A few shots of the game!

During half time, all the kids had the option to down onto the court and dance. Alyssa was the only one who wanted to go, but the picture he took turned out blurry,
so you get the whole group!

And, Utah Flash even won the game!

Alyssa turns 7!!!

Our season of birthdays is starting at my house. Once March hits, it seems we have birthdays or other family celebrations about every 2 weeks. We always start off with Alyssa, who turned 7 on March 1st.

We just went over to grandmas, had dinner & cake, and opened a few gifts. Grandma even made her a sign!

Here is dad bringing out her birthday cheesecake!

A piggy bank from Grandma & Grandpa Robison. She also got birthday cards from Grandma Wittick, and Grandma & Grandpa Saul both of which had money in, so she was thrilled to put that money right into her new bank!

A fun princess game set from her Aunt Celia and her family.

From us she got a couple toys which we let her pick out herself. She also got some clothes too! Nothing too spectacular, but she looks happy to me!
Happy Birthday Alyssa, we love you!!!!
