The kids and I went out and had some fun playing and getting cold in the snow. I posted these videos of some of the fun we had on a perfect sledding hill.

Happy New Year

Our family has been on a roller coaster ride the last several months, but we do feel blessed for many positive changes that have occurred. (Although we are still waiting on a few more. Ha Ha)
For starter’s we were made grandparents this year. Josey had a little boy which she named Traevon Lauren.

He entered the world on March 14th 2007 weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. and measured 20 inches long. He looks adorable, and she seems to be quite the little mother herself. They have come back from Germany and are currently living in California. We hopefully will be able to see them more often now!!

Then, a couple months later, we welcomed another child into our own home as well. Wesley Cade McConahay (Will go by Cade) was born on May 25, 2007.

He weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz., and was 20 inches long. He is a perfect baby, and we just love him!! Preston was ecstatic to have a little brother, and all the kids have been having so much fun with him! He is now almost 7 months old and growing like a weed!

We also were made aware that they had some other relatives born this same year!! Stephanie Jones had a new little guy named Aiden in early September,

and her sister Tanya Evans just gave birth yesterday to a little baby girl. Her name is Aspen.

Wow, lots and lots of changes!! But they don't stop there, we are impatiently awaiting to hear from Talina who was due with a baby girl on December 20th. (Never mind the date on the photo)

Another exciting adventure we began this year is Eric’s new job. In the middle of July Eric was hired on with a company called CentraCom. It is a local telephone/cable/internet company in Sanpete County, Utah. We then packed up and moved!!! Thinking I wouldn’t have enough to do in a new small town (big mistake, but it’s okay), I went in and talked with the Snow College Child Care Center, and was hired on to work there.

We are currently living in Ephraim. This may change soon as we are still deciding where we want to settle for sure. Our plans to build have been postponed with the non-selling of our home, but it is at least currently rented. Ephraim is a small town, home of Snow College. And, with me being alumni of Snow College, part of me feels very at home here. It was very hard to leave our previous home, but we believed a change was in order. (And a pay raise didn’t hurt either).
I am getting used to being in the work force again, and I can take Alyssa and Cade with me, while the other 2 are in school so it works out nicely. The oldest are adjusting into school great, and seem to really like the small town atmosphere.

Preston is 8 ½ and was baptized on April 7th of this year. He is growing up into quite the young man, and we couldn’t be more proud of him. He has adopted science and math as his two favorite subjects, and also loves to read!

Jaida is still our little miracle. At 6 ½ she started 1st grade this year, and is doing really well. She loves to sing, and anything to do with music! She and her sister are best friends even though they usually have a love/hate relationship.

Alyssa is 4 ½ and can melt your heart in an instant (well, most of the time). She is very loving and would adopt every animal and bug on earth if she could. (We are sticking to stuffed animals at the moment though.) She is so ready for Kindergarten and will be happy to be “big” next year and go to a “real” school. We hope all is well with you and your families. We wish you all a healthy and happy new year! Always feel free to keep in touch, or drop a note when you can!

Happy Holidays

It has been a struggle but we finally got someone in to rent out our house in Pleasant Grove. I have not posted in a long time and I know that most people that do these post daily, but I can not find that much to say. I thought that I would post a video of Wesley Cade and I still invite the family to post to this site as well. Love you and have a Merry Christmas.

Finally a place to live

I have had my new job for 2 weeks now and I finally found a place to rent. It is a older home that I would guess is 60 or 70 years old. Andrea and the kids will move down with me this weekend.

The kids should like it, it has a in ground trampoline and there is plenty of places to explore. It has a little play house made of 2x4 and plywood.

Andrea got a job as well working at Snow College. Andrea graduated from Snow with a degree in early childhood development. She will be not only teaching children of faculty members of the school, but she will also be teaching those college students working on the same degree. I am really proud of her, she went in for the interview and they hired her on the spot.

We also have decided to build a home in Moroni and we will rent until it is finished. It will be on a lot with very few neighbors. Finding lots in this little town is kinda hard to find cause even though there are empty lots all over, they are usually owned by the person that owns the next to them.
Non of those lot are for sale because there are no signs, but I have also walked up to some of the houses and asked if they knew who owned the lots and it was either themselves or someone else and the did not want to sell. I guess that is there way of keeping people from crowding them.

Here is the lot that we will build on.

Here is a view from the lot and don't mind those pesky building in the way.

CentraCom

Well after my first week I really like the new job and I really like the area especially. There are 4 or 5 towns and the largest one is about the 2500 people and everyone knows each other. I have posted pictures of my new commute.

5 pm work traffic.

My Last Day

Well it is my last day at work here, and it feels weird... kinda scary. I guess that they are going to take me to lunch today and bid me farewell (don't let the door hit you on the way out.) They are also going to have cake and ice cream. They must think it is reason to celebrate? I have sent my boss (the man in charge) an email letting him know what major projects I have been working on here so he can pass them on to my replacement. Yea, they have already replaced me.

I packed up my desk and I am sitting here working in an empty office, it's kind of a bummer. We are still working on getting the house sold, man that is hard work and a real pain. The housing market seems to be at a dead stop right now compared to what it was a few years back. The way I see it is there are more houses than people in Utah, BUT THEY ARE STILL BUILDING!!! Idiots… My wife tells me I am a horrible speller so any mistakes blame her, because she is my proof reader, love you honey. Anyway it is slow. I guess people have heard today is it for me and are leaving me alone. I know there is something I should be doing but I don’t know what it is… Oh well I guess I better go check my email, and see if there is anything new.

New Job

Hi all, it has been a long time since I posted and I thought it was time to catch everyone up. I have a new job with Central Utah Telephone or CentraCom as the locals know it. I will be starting on the 6th of August and I am very excited. It is in Fairview, UT. I am not sure exactly what I will be doing, but I will be working for the ISP (Internet Service) portion of the company. I am trying to get the house sold and that is a HUGE pain in the rear. I am also finishing the bathroom in the basement that will need to be finished by closing. I'm sure it won't be sold by the time I need to move, so I will be staying with a neighbors parents in Ephraim temporarily. Otherwise, I would have to drive, or sleep in a tent. Neither of which sound any fun. Well I will keep posted with pictures of the new house, when we get one.

Wesley Cade McConahay

(Click to see a larger picture)

Well he was born at 1pm today May 25th. Andrea said this was the easiest birth of all the kids. He weighed 8 lb 7oz. and is 20 inches long. He has lots of dark hair but it probably will not stay that way. His Brother and Sisters are very happy to see him and could not wait to hold him, especially the girls.

Bye for now

NEW PICS!!!! Josey just sent us some updated pictures that we just couldn’t wait to share! A few of her little family together. What a doll! Trae is now about 7 weeks old, and really doing well. She said she is finally getting some sleep, and adjusting to motherhood more and more. She looks pretty happy to us!! Andreas says "And that little guy is so stinking cute I just want to pinch his cheeks and snuggle into that neck."

Andrea is still sitting here pregnant as ever. No updated news from us, but we’ll be sure to update when we have something to say!!! Enjoy the pics, and have a great day!

Traevon Lauren McConahay/Craighead ((CORRECTION))

Here is the latest updates on baby news around here!

The newest little McConahay was welcomed into the world on March 14th 2007. Trae Von Lauren McConahay arrived weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20" long. Josey is doing great and seems to be handling motherhood well, she just doesn't get too much sleep!

Andrea is still doing well, as the baby is just getting bigger, making her a little more miserable each day. She is currently 28 weeks along, so we still have a few more weeks to go. Most of you know, but we did find out it is a little boy.

We will update with more pics as we get them!
