Happy New Year

Our family has been on a roller coaster ride the last several months, but we do feel blessed for many positive changes that have occurred. (Although we are still waiting on a few more. Ha Ha)
For starter’s we were made grandparents this year. Josey had a little boy which she named Traevon Lauren.

He entered the world on March 14th 2007 weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. and measured 20 inches long. He looks adorable, and she seems to be quite the little mother herself. They have come back from Germany and are currently living in California. We hopefully will be able to see them more often now!!

Then, a couple months later, we welcomed another child into our own home as well. Wesley Cade McConahay (Will go by Cade) was born on May 25, 2007.

He weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz., and was 20 inches long. He is a perfect baby, and we just love him!! Preston was ecstatic to have a little brother, and all the kids have been having so much fun with him! He is now almost 7 months old and growing like a weed!

We also were made aware that they had some other relatives born this same year!! Stephanie Jones had a new little guy named Aiden in early September,

and her sister Tanya Evans just gave birth yesterday to a little baby girl. Her name is Aspen.

Wow, lots and lots of changes!! But they don't stop there, we are impatiently awaiting to hear from Talina who was due with a baby girl on December 20th. (Never mind the date on the photo)

Another exciting adventure we began this year is Eric’s new job. In the middle of July Eric was hired on with a company called CentraCom. It is a local telephone/cable/internet company in Sanpete County, Utah. We then packed up and moved!!! Thinking I wouldn’t have enough to do in a new small town (big mistake, but it’s okay), I went in and talked with the Snow College Child Care Center, and was hired on to work there.

We are currently living in Ephraim. This may change soon as we are still deciding where we want to settle for sure. Our plans to build have been postponed with the non-selling of our home, but it is at least currently rented. Ephraim is a small town, home of Snow College. And, with me being alumni of Snow College, part of me feels very at home here. It was very hard to leave our previous home, but we believed a change was in order. (And a pay raise didn’t hurt either).
I am getting used to being in the work force again, and I can take Alyssa and Cade with me, while the other 2 are in school so it works out nicely. The oldest are adjusting into school great, and seem to really like the small town atmosphere.

Preston is 8 ½ and was baptized on April 7th of this year. He is growing up into quite the young man, and we couldn’t be more proud of him. He has adopted science and math as his two favorite subjects, and also loves to read!

Jaida is still our little miracle. At 6 ½ she started 1st grade this year, and is doing really well. She loves to sing, and anything to do with music! She and her sister are best friends even though they usually have a love/hate relationship.

Alyssa is 4 ½ and can melt your heart in an instant (well, most of the time). She is very loving and would adopt every animal and bug on earth if she could. (We are sticking to stuffed animals at the moment though.) She is so ready for Kindergarten and will be happy to be “big” next year and go to a “real” school. We hope all is well with you and your families. We wish you all a healthy and happy new year! Always feel free to keep in touch, or drop a note when you can!

Boy it is great to know that everyone is doing good and are very blessed in 2007. I thought that I had a wonderful family. But I know that Jim and Barb have been also. They have a total of 5 grand- babies now. Tell them congratulations from me. I knew that Stephanie had twins, but I never had a clue till now that she had another. She is Very Very Blessed. Everyone needs to put a family group picture in the blog for us to see of all the new babies.
Love to all
