Usborne National Convention 2011

This year the Usborne National Convention was in June. The theme was MORE!

(Sorry for the crappy pictures. Each year I try to edit the lighting in photoshop and it never helps. I guess the lighting in the room every year sucks.)

This is our National Sales Manager Heather Cobb. She just started this Spring and is AMAZING! She was able to speak to us, and her story is incredible!

And our infamous leader and CEO Randall White!

And the founder of Usborne Books, Peter Usborne. All the way from the UK.

Here is a few of us on group night. We did a dance, and lip syncing performance.

Another group of us on the stairs after the Gala. We had a blast this year!! This was probably my favorite convention so far!

See you all in 2012!

My Awesome "Working" Vacation!!

I just returned from the most amazing convention I've ever attended! Each July is the Usborne Books & More National Convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While I was "working" and receiving great training, I haven't had more fun!

Maybe it was the limo ride from the airport!

Maybe it was spending time with friends!

Maybe it was being fed 3 meals a day, and not having to do the dishes!

Maybe it was the amazing speaker Jim Trelease, who was truly inspiring! If you haven't read his book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" I strongly recommend it!

I even got my picture with him, and had him sign my copy!

Maybe it was becoming more motivated to build my business!

Maybe it was taking my picture with the CEO, and be given extra incentives to grow!

Maybe it was playing games with a bunch of new friends every night until 1 or 2 a.m.
All in all, it was a spectacular event! I love the company, I love my job, and I know I can make a difference in many children's lives starting with my own! What more could I want?

Christmas Countdown-Day 11

Okay, I know, I am a loser! I haven't kept up on my Christmas Countdown very well at all the last few days.

I promise to make it up to you tomorrow. I plan to then catch up on everything. It's just that some friends of mine talked me into signing up on Facebook, so I have been catching up with friends on there instead of updating my blog. :-(

It is actually way cooler than I thought it was going to be!! I have already found several people who I thought I had "lost".

So, if you don't have an account with Facebook, sign up! I'll be your friend! :-) And if you do have an account, add me!!!
